Why should I volunteer?
There are many benefits associated with volunteering in a safe, caring environment – and not just for those being helped. Volunteering at Norton Healthcare is a great learning experience and an excellent way to meet people and make new friends. Volunteering can help boost energy levels and self-esteem while reducing stress-related health problems. Norton Healthcare adult volunteers receive invitations to special employee events and educational programs, cafeteria meal coupons, free parking, a volunteer newsletter, free visits to the Fitness Center of Norton Healthcare, and an invitation to an annual volunteer recognition event. For our high school and college student volunteers, highlighting this experience on a college application or resume' goes a long way.
