Welcome, New Employees to Norton Healthcare!

As a new employee, you have a lot to learn about Norton Healthcare and your co-workers and we have a lot to learn about you. On your first day, you will attend system orientation. This day will be filled with information about Norton Healthcare – who we are; our mission, vision and values; and Pillars of Excellence. In addition, we will cover many other aspects of working at Norton Healthcare including patient safety, human resources policies and procedures, the importance of infection control; computer access and usage, our diversity agenda and much more. Download a copy of the Orientation Schedule. If you have questions about orientation, contact John Lynch.

You also will receive your employee ID number and password for system access and instructions to help you enroll in various benefit plans Norton Healthcare offers its employees. You will complete several forms to verify identification (I-9), give permission to release information, and sign up for benefits and retirement savings plans.

What to expect your first week at Norton Healthcare

The day after system orientation you will meet with your manager. He or she will give you additional department-specific orientation and instructions. Department orientation may be as simple as showing you around the area and introducing you to your co-workers or as formal as additional classroom instruction in department policies and procedures.

Completing Payroll Information

During your first week of employment you will be provided with access to the Norton Healthcare computer system. This will enable you to complete payroll information so you can be paid correctly on the next pay date. Instructions on how to enroll will be provided in your Orientation Manual.

If you have questions about orientation, contact John Lynch.
