Community Outreach
At Norton Healthcare, our partnership with our community is important. Not only do we invest time and money in our people, our equipment and our buildings; we invest in research, education and our community’s overall health and well-being.
One example is our ongoing relationship with the University of Louisville. Norton Healthcare is the leading partner of the U of L School of Medicine. Our hospitals help train more than one hundred medical residents each year. And we perform more clinical research trials than any other health care organization in the region. That helps attract first-rate faculty and bring new medical technologies to Louisville.
Our commitment to our community is perhaps nowhere more apparent than in our multi-million dollar contribution to the well being of its citizens.
In 2005, Norton Healthcare contributed a $59.8 million “community dividend” to charitable care, discounted services, community and professional education, and support for the University of Louisville. Read our Report to Our Community for more information.
